High Rate Sensor Tester

Check a seed flow or population sensor in seconds. Plug the sensor into the tester, drop seeds through it, and the tester beeps and lights up how many it registered. Try it below with a good sensor, a dirty one, or a dead one.

Instructions

  1. Press Power/Reset button. Unit is ready to test when green light is on.
  2. Drop seed(s). Unit will beep & display number of seeds counted.
  3. Count will display for 10 seconds or until Power/Reset button is pressed.
  4. Hold Power/Reset button for 2 seconds to power off. (Unit will automatically shut off after 60 sec. of inactivity.)

From the label on the back of the tester. In this demo the tester stays powered on, so pressing Power/Reset just clears the count.

How it connects

  • Red — 12 V supply to the sensor
  • Green — seed signal back to the tester
  • Black — ground

The tester powers the sensor from its own battery, so you can bench-check seed flow and population sensors off the planter. Each seed pulse turns on one more light: 1 seed lights 1, 2 seeds light 1 and 2, up to all 5, and >5 comes on for anything more.

Install Sensor-1 on your iPhone or iPad

  1. Tap the Share button in Safari.

  4. Open Sensor-1 from the new icon on your Home Screen.

  1. Open Sensor-1.com in Google Chrome.
  2. Tap the three-dot menu.

  4. Confirm the installation.
